Dischidia Cochleata, spread almost throughout South Kalimantan and West Kalimantan, Indonesia. The characteristics of Discidia are almost similar to Dischidia Albiflora sp West Kalimantan, Kapuas Hulu, West Kalimantan, Indonesia. Both are found in the Kalimantan region, they have differences in their leaves and flowers. Cochleata dischidia leaves are rougher and have almost wood-like characteristics and have red flowers with black flower tips. This super rare dischidia is classified as an epiphytic vine like Hoya plants in general. The leaves are opposite, and are often seen on the bark of wood, and there are 2 color variants, namely pale brownish and dark green depending on the adaptations found in the forest, usually when found in hot places/hot areas, this Dischidia is pale brown, and this type of Dischidia is very easily adaptable to any temperature.
