Dischidia major

Dischidia major Sp Java is located in Trenggalek Regency, East Java Province, Indonesia. Dischidia major, “Malay urn tendril”, is a plant in the genus Dischidia. They carry modified leaves, offer accommodation to ants, including the Dolichoderinae family, and in return obtain food from increased levels of carbon dioxide and nitrogen, and a degree of protection from harmful animals and plants. The main flower of Dischidia major, is yellow with green stripes, and is arranged in a few or many flower umbels.
