Hoya chewiorum is native to Borneo (only Sabah) and so far only found in the Crocker Mountains in the hill forests. Named in honor of brother Philip and Dr. Steven Bosuang (formerly known as Chew) who helped establish Kipandi Park in Sabah’s Crocker Range, including the establishment of a collection of native Hoyas.” (Taken directly from A Guide To Hoyas of Borneo by Anthony Lamb and Michele Rodda). Hoya chewiorum published by Anthony Lamb (A. Lamb) in Sandakania Vol. 19 (April 2014). and it turns out that the distribution of Hoya Chewiorum has also been found in the Buntok area, Central Kalimantan, Indonesia.
