Hoya medinilifolia (Apocynaceae Asclepiadoideae), a new species from the forests of West Kalimantan, Indonesia. precisely in the Kapuas Hulu forest area, West Kalimantan, which directly borders Malaysia. Hoya medinilifolia (Apocynaceae Asclepiadoideae), a new species from the lowland forests of Sarawak and Kalimantan. Rodda & Simonsson’s Hoya medinilifolia is hereby described and illustrated. This is similar to the widespread Hoya multiflora Bl. and in the Philippines it is endemic Hoya platycaulis Simonsson & Rodda for its upright, lanceolate growth habit, flaxseed-like leaves, and flat young stems. These can be easily separated due to their heart-shaped coronal lobes and distinct leaf venation. This new species was published in Webbia 66(2):149-154 on November 29 2011.
