Hoya from the forests of West Kalimantan, Indonesia. precisely in the Kapuas Hulu forest area, West Kalimantan, which directly borders the territory of Malaysia. Hoya medinilifolia (Apocynaceae Asclepiadoideae), a new species from the lowland forests of Sarawak and Kalimantan. Hoya medinilifolia is illustrated to be similar to the widespread Hoya multiflora Bl. and in the Philippines it is endemic Hoya platycaulis for its upright and lanceolate growth habit. the leaves are like flax seeds, and the juvenile stems are flat. These can be easily separated due to their heart-shaped crown lobes and distinct leaf veins. This new species was published in Webbia 66(2):149-154 on November 29 2011.
