platycerium ridleyii, Epiphytic plants or commonly called ferns live in tropical rain forests, especially in Kalimantan, Indonesia. They like large trees and live side by side with other epiphytes. The name Ridley was obtained from the botanist Henry Nicholas Ridley (England 1855-1856). Ridley’s original habitat comes from the island of Kalimantan, Indonesia. The uniqueness of the shape of the leaves and the level of difficulty in care is the reason why Ridley is hunted by lovers of deer antlers or Pakuan ferns. Genus: platycerium Species:platycerium Ridley Family: polypodiaceae
