This Hoya was found in Kandangan, Telaga Langsat sub-district, Hulu Sungai Selatan district, South Kalimantan province, Indonesia. and was found in May 2024. This type of Hoya is rarely found in its habitat and is now classified as very rare. This Hoya is included in the Hoya Finlaysonii group variant with stiff veined leaves and its flowers are almost similar to Hoya finlaysonii in general, but the color of the flowers is very different, the petals are pale pink combined with dark red and have a white corona, the flowers are quite fragrant and not too pungent.
