Hoya Wallichii Subsp tenebrosa endemic from West Kalimantan, Both H. wallichii subsp. wallichii and H. wallichii subsp. tenebrosa is a slender plant with ovate to oblong leaves, thin glabrous, coriaceous leaves, slender stalks with 1 or 2 flowers open at a time, and a broad corolla. Hoya wallichii subsp. tenebrosa differs from H. wallichii subsp. wallichii in corolla color (dark purple with paler edges vs white-cream), shape and surface of the coronal lobes (broadly elliptical, spreading and with small inner processes, almost black with a velvety surface vs kidney-shaped, erect and with wells -Develop process in acuminate, purple with shiny surface).
